I got hit by some birdshot across a field once. I made it. The doves didn't. Does that count?
EDIT: Also, I was an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee.

I was at a parade uptown minding my own business and shots rang out probably about 20-30 feet from where I stood...
Apparently the brothas can't hit anything they aim at when they hold the gun sideways
And maybe what the OP's friend said has a little truth to it, because at first, I was like 'did I just get shot?' Then once I realized it it hurt like hell

Shot in the upper thigh with a .38 after a card game, was too drunk to feel much. When the Jack wore off, it was more uncomfortable than anything, especially having to clean it and pack it with gauze daily.

Some drunk idiot threw beer cans and a half empty box of shotgun shells in a bonfire that I was at 2 years ago.
Two rounds went off and hit 4 people including myself. I had one pellet lodge itself in my left forearm, another went through the top of my left hand, and a primer from one of the rounds struck me in the neck about an inch or so above my collarbone.
ETA: It hurt like a bitch, especially during recovery.

I shot myself in the hand with a BB gun when I was 9. They left it in me, thought t might do nerve damage if they took it out. It's fun to freak people out and get them to feel it.

frick! After reading this thread I might need to reevaluate my position on gun control! I usually carry which I thought would be enough but like in 90% of these situations people wouldn't have had a chance to defend themselves!

My friend shot me in the arse with an arrow. I was sitting on a giant styrofoam target and threatened to shoot if I didn't move. His aim was a little high. Thank god he had a practice tip on the arrow.

Got shot by a while back. Intense bleeding and pain, didn't see it coming. Hurt like a mother fricker. Went to the hospital and they fixed me right up. Thank God I survived to see today.

Havent read the thread but never been shot been shot at and shot one of my best friends in high school.

Was shot at through the drivers side window during and attempted carjacking. Was hit by the flying glass but the bullet ricocheted off the window frame by my ear. The glass stung. I'm pretty sure the slug would have been worse.
