Happened a lot to my friends and me growing up in Northern Virginia. Was wondering if anyone had any good stories about this. Preferably in your younger years when it seems a lot more terrifying and intimidating but stories from being an adult will also suffice.

I dated a girl who's dad was a Lieutenant Colonel. He wasn't physically that imposing but obviously very calm, collected, and intense. As a 15 year old it was always very unnerving and I'm sure that's exactly what he was going for.

I did when I was in high school. Had a finger blown off by an IED planted in her panties.

I hope you reported him. They aren't supposed to be able to bring home souvenirs

Not the same thing but I dated a girl whose dad was a FBI agent. I'm sure he knew everything about me.

From my experience in the Marines, the daughters of the higher ups were always huge sloots. I don't know if it was daddy issues with them always deploying or acting out due to their fathers having military type rules at home, but PFC Packer banged his share of Gunny's daughters

I did.

We were always moving.

You learned to get it while you could.
Hottie asked me to go steady and I hadn't even kissed her yet. Daughter of naval officer pilot.
God bless her.

SO's late father was a retired Navy Captain but he had been out a long time and was a very mild mannered type. Not a firebreather at all.

Unless you ran for president, he knew nothing about you.

my wife's dad is old now, but he's a retired vietnam green beret.

we were out of college and everything at the time, but one time we were visiting her folks and got back to their house really late, and when we walked into the door we could hear her dad's footsteps scurrying around upstairs.

he sleeps with a gun next to the bed and he is still sensitive to noises in the middle of the night. he used to wake up in terror all of the time and almost shot my MIL during one of these night terrors a long time ago.

A friend of mine is the son of one of the 10th SFG plankholders from before Vietnam. He was a badass, but very soft spoken. He's in his late eighties now and not all there most of the time. Sad.

Not active, but he killed more than a couple people in the Middle East. Thankfully, he's the parent which wants grandkids--in the case of an accident.

Probably not a smart move by your MIL to let him sleep with a gun then.

My dad is retired Air Force so I dated plenty. No different then girls outside of the military.

Given my dad was Air Force and Air Force is more normal folks then the other services.

Army officers can be a different breed to themselves.

Never dated one but do have a CSB.

A buddy and I were at a higher up Air Force officers house in San Diego. We were swimming in the pool and her dad comes out and screams "why are Marines in my swimming pool?"
My buddy replies "because we're amphibious, sir!"
He just laughed and walked back in the house.
