You’re the a-hole and the problem in this scenario. I’ve never had a scenario where I couldn’t get out of my vehicle without hitting another person’s vehicle.
Park further out in the parking lot or on the street and make your fatass walk a little bit further if you feel that the parking spots in a parking lot are not big enough to accommodate your vehicle. It’s very inconsiderate of you to not do that.
Also, offer to pay for damages if you scratch someone else’s vehicle.

Anxious to see if you even should by driving a big truck? What do you use it for that makes it a need?

You sound morbidly obese

My dually helps me get my steps in everyday.
And screw you Mr. Developer who designed a building and made the parking spaces 7' wide.

Why cant you open and exit your truck without hitting the vehicle next to you?
I drive a fairly big truck, but I usually park across the lot away from other vehicles not only to squeeze them in but I dont mind walking...
How and why cant you just park like a normal human and not open your door and hit other peoples cars?

Is this you?
That is my car to the right. I had to crawl in from the right door. 2 feet of open parking space on the left to the Suburban and obviously no fricks given to park like a civilized human being.

Interesting YOU have door protectors.
Park far out, the walk will help you shed weight

You're one of those assholes that feels the need to hug one of the 2 lines, huh?

Why are there so many people randomly sitting in their cars in parking lots these days? Seems like every time I go to Rousse's, there are at least 5 cars with people simply sitting in them. They're there when I park, and still there when I leave 30 minutes later.
They're likely high AF, and psyching themselves into acting like they're not high AF. For some folks that could take a minute.

Thank you all for the constructive criticism.
I’m going to up my days at CrossFit from 4 to 5 and stop eating pasta.
I’m just going to start parking extremely far away. I do think parking lots should be designed better, and in both instances, the other cars pulled up after me. But I’d rather walk in the Louisiana heat than deal with Karen’s.

This person might get “more” than just a door ding.

not even gonna worry bot that apostrophe.
We have a parking lot Karen at our office who complains to mgt if a bumper hangs over the sidewalk in a mm. Or if tires touch the lines.
Not sure who she's frickin but, it's someone high up on the food chain here.

I’m pretty sure the Trader Joe’s parking lot in BR was designed to make folks kill each other
