Is highway 90 drivable? Closed anywhere from Beaumont to Houston?

Hwy 90 is shown as flooded but not closed on the map. Cajun Navy reports are that you must have a tall vehicle to get through. Regular trucks are not making it.

What's the storm expected to do in central/north Louisiana over the next couple of days? Supposed to head to Midland, TX for work from Lafayette (boss wanted me to leave today but frick that). I take I-49 then get on I-20 to get there. TIA

I don't want to down play it but from what I understand it is supposed to pick up speed once it catches the high pressure. If that is the case, I wouldn't think I-20 would be in any danger.

For those in the Richmond area, Brazos forecast to crest on Friday. Still at 57.5'
That's very similar to what the Amite did at Denham Springs last year in our flood. 7 feet over major. I got 3 feet in my house 2 days after it crested. Best of luck.

Traffic Experts:
Looking for a driving route for early tomorrow AM from the to Lafayette from Oak Forest area. North of 610 loop near Ella and 43rd street.
I-10 is obviously out.
Thanks people!

This is a long shot but any real news on the kingwood area at the w. Lake Houston bridge?
IDK how close this is to you as the crow flies, but as of now Lakeshore/Water's Edge is still above water. not sure if that helps.

Is this something that's life or death? If not, I would give it a hard pass.

Not life or death. Her flight was cancelled in Houston and she's trying to make it to Laffy for another flight.
It looks like she could take 90 to Beaumont and get on I10 from there according to Google Maps road closures.
