Haven't they been saying 9 trillion for a few days now?

I think they play fast and loose with these numbers anyway, but I believe the 9 trillion number is the amount of rain that supposedly fell in the entire greater Houston area, or perhaps even the entire area + river watersheds.

So slack.

Reading the national hurricane center it doesn't look like it'll be a big deal for the areas like LC and westlake.
Reading these posts and looking at beaumont and yalls models it looks like there is potential to get pretty heavy.

So what's the deal with the discrepency? Who's right?

I feel like I'm getting bad infor from the hurricane center looking at rainfalls projections there.

Everyone is right. It's just that Jefferson County is getting almost the full brunt of what's left of Harvey.

Side with the NHC, but the models aren't too far off either.

12 hour projected rainfall totals from the HRRR. The heavy stuff is staying to the north and northwest or the center, much like we're seeing in the Orange area right now.

Ok thanks for the responses.

I'm sitting here in westlake and the wind is barely blowing and is kinda pissing.

It's difficult to get a read on it
