Good luck through the night folks, I'll catch back up in the morning. Hopefully that convection over Port Arthur falls apart soon.

And it's all set up to be a monumental disaster:
PORT ARTHUR — A large number of water rescues are needed in Port Arthur with 10 to 15 feet of water heading their way and no resources to save them.
The situation in Port Arthur is dire, with homes expected to flood and residents there unsure of how to get out of the city.
Port Arthur city officials did not call for evacuations earlier Tuesday. Jefferson County emergency officials shut down rescue operations at nightfall Tuesday.

Do you have a link for that? Is that storm surge or back water flow?

I don't know but twitter is going absolutely nuts with Port Arthur people begging for someone to help them right now. Unconfirmed but there are reports that the entire city is now underwater in Port Arthur.

Derrick Freeman is the Mayor of Port Arthur so those reports are accurate.

The issue with port Arthur is all the roads that lead in or out all flooded before the town started to flood.

More Cajun Navy guys interviewed at that live link before they go to do rescues. Talking about doing the same thing last year in BR.

Man how horrible is that the weather and storm surge has caused the Cajun Navy guys to pull out from the rescue.
The water surge must be insane if this person is correct.
