Honestly I don't see the point of even buying a house unless you live in a very very low risk area for disasters (I.e. Away from the coast, areas with forest fires, flood zones, tornado alley) or just make a ton of money.

Never saw the point of any household owning their house if they make under 150k a year. Just rent a nice house and insure your belongings and you're good. Go buy hunting land or something if you want a land investment

Radar makes it look like NOLA is in the clear for a while. We've got some blue sky here in uptown

I know the ExxonMobil in Baytown is shut down due to the flooding. I'm sure most of the plants in that area are down as well.

That the plant where they make lubricants? I sell chevron oils in bulk and I've already been notified that it may be a while before product is available
