TS Harvey ***Catastrophic Flooding Event***
So, DaBigFella was checking into the Omni last time we heard from him on Friday. The Omni is now flooded and being evacuated.

Wow, the way time in this event seems totally surreal that seems like it could have been weeks ago when he was bragging about doing the storm the right way staying at a $200 per night hotel and staying high above it all. This storm definitely hasnt discremenated on who it affected.

I'd hold off. No point in going out in all of this.

Is this thing going to strengthen back up to a hurricane before it lands again? I hope not.

It hasn't done much strengthening since getting back over the gulf, but I have little faith in these models and forecasts anymore. They are constantly changing, and they had it as nothing more than a TS at landfall 48 hours before, and it ended up being a Category 4 hurricane the first go around.

This thing may make landfall in Vermilion Bay before it's all said and done.

That's not accurate.

Are we talking about the Galleria Omni or the Omni on Eldridge just below the Addicks levee?

Lmao! Just saw Gerald Gruenig on KLFY out in Cameron Parish, and during the entire segment, the low battery indicator was flashing in the corner of the screen.

This is still not a problem. I know what people are used to with tropical systems, but that isn't the case with Harvey. The models haven't changed much on the the amount of rain and where it will fall in LA, even with this eastward shift.

Regular soccer board poster says:

I'm scheduled to go to NOLA (not for the gay shite, honestly found out about that yesterday and was already thinking about not going) but was wondering what anyone would do regarding the trip?

I see rain is forecasted heavily this weekend into next week. I'm kind of starting to think it may be best to just cancel.

For real, though - my unprofessional New Orleanian opinion: It'll be fine. IT GON' RAIN, but it'll be fine.*
