Cajun Navy just got fired on and their boat stolen. They are stranded in an abandoned FedEx truck.

You're right but the core is now surrounded by dry air on 3 of 4 sides.

For now.. I am no expert and not suggesting anything.. Just monitoring and learning on here. Just ready for Harvey to die!

Yep and they are no longer allowing anyone in the water with boats unless you're emergency personnel.

I haven't seen any predictions of it reforming, its going to take longer than a couple days on the coast for it to reform.

The dry air intrustion isn't very deep and could mix out quickly if it gets cut off once the storm moves out... and water south of Houston is warm enough for some solid regeneration.

looks like some cloud tops are already popping in the northern eyewall...

I could see it coming back as a strong TS... NHC has it regaining just a little bit of strength before second landfall. Wouldn't rule out Cat 1 either.

Are they not armed themselves? That seems kind of irresponsible on their part.

What's the thought on when Hobby will reopen? I know they are definitely closed until Wednesday at the earliest, but does anyone think they will be closed longer than that?
