I know me too. I wish I could go and help but I'm stuck at the office.
They don't want to volunteer any of our assets in case the storm comes here.

What's the thought on when Hobby will reopen?
I haven't heard one way or the other with Hobby... but I would imagine, given the amount of rain that area has gotten, it will be closed for as long if not longer than Bush

Per ABC13, Hobby is closed until 8am Thursday right now. Bush until noon Thursday right now
Looks like I'll have to go to Dallas for awhile

Can anyone give me any info on the Cypress Creek area? I have a nephew that is a fireman and has been out for two days. Cannot get back home, and is worried about his wife and two young children. Any help appreciated.
TIA

Actually, news just said FAA has corrected and said BOTH are closed until further notice.

I have flight from Nola to Hobby 6 am on Friday. I already hopped on getting flights to DAL instead, because I figured that Friday morning would be cutting it close.

I've been posting images of 40-50" rainfall projections for SE Texas since Tuesday/Wednesday of last week, yet I never believed any of it would verify.
Seeing this actually materialize is gut wrenching, and it truly doesn't seem to stop. I've got family that have been evacuated and others that got water in their homes, and I'm sitting here watching radar images of more rain pouring into the Houston area. It is overwhelming at times, and I'm not even directly affected.
I feel the same. I lived thru the tornado on 4/27/11 and that was terrifying for 30-45 minutes. This lasting for days and getting worse.
I am praying for all those affected. Hopefully someone on here, after this is over, will setup something like we had with Toomers for Tuscaloosa. I will gladly help any way.

This bastard just doesn't quit. How does it stay over land that long and remain at 40 MPH?

That's the way they leave them after work to cut down on people fukin with them. I think road repairs musta been taking there before flood.
This makes me feel better, but I gotta say, the mental image of some hombre trying to truck it through the water riding at the top of that man lift is pretty entertaining.
