This is very confusing to me as well... I am not sure if you heard the Houston Mayor this morning but said even though they knew what was possible he said that trying to put 2.3 million people on the road was a certain disaster... He said it would have HAD to have been a coordinated effort... WTF??? Its not like they didn't have time to corrdinate an evacuation.... As far as A voluntary evacuation???? Just don't get it....

I think the The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 will probably never be topped in terms of destruction, people displacement, and death

It was said earlier in here they if your place flooded last year, damn good idea to leave, I agree with that.

But he is right, if 2+ million people tried to leave it would be a mass cluster frick. And possibly frick up another city where it could have been just as bad.

bullshite. People in low lying areas known for flooding were not caught by surprise. Many of them left.

Not that much, I knew we were gonna be closed a long long time and we raised prices, so did everyone else. Slackster has just never run a business. While we're closed for 7-10 days or more I still pay all the employees and all the bills. Other business owners of small establishments wont pay their employees when they're closed. This isn't corporate america, in the small business world if work is slow you send workers home and dont pay them. So I don't feel bad about raising prices and I just got an email from landmark industries that I will not be getting a shipment until thursday at the earliest, so 7 days total at a minimum.

Also they weren't forcing you to buy a higher grade, when we get a load of 20,000 gallons, you get X amount of each, when you run out of regular on a normal basis they refill you automatically when you hit 1000 gallons in reserve, this week though they didn't replenish any stores, so your choice is fill up midgrade or premium, or get no gas.

Yeah, im' thinking these guys don't know how to respond like Cajun navy
