So we're just supposed to lose money if we have to close for a week

You can't say "there's no such thing as price gouging" with your only qualifier being "you are in the business". I think that's reckless and obvious, tough guy

Where is Webster or Kemah in relation to Harvery? We have family there and my mom just told me that they were staying. I've never heard of either palce.

Again not trying to go off topic this thread is about the storm but its not price gouging when you factor in how long business will be disrupted for most of these people, just leave it at that. It's easy to say this or that as a consumer, but think of the businesses and whats at stake for them. They still have to pay wages while closed, rent, etc. They're just doing what has to be done.
Hopefully this hurricane isn't as bad as it looks, but its not looking good now.

The Harvey name will probably be retired after this. I can't see any outcome where some area isn't nearly washed away. In south Texas, lives will be marked as before Harvey and after Harvey. This thing is going to be terrible. FEMA needs to get in gear on this one.

Webster and Kemah are in the League City/Galveston area
Posted on 8/25/17 at 2:21 pm to Large Farva
Kemah is just southeast of Houston. On the coast.

Galveston cam is showing $2.69/GAL right now, I paid $2.05 in OK at lunch.
Noticed that as well. Paid 1.96 in Fort Worth yesterday. It's shitty that they're hiking up gas prices in an emergency situation.
