this morning's update is 90g110kt. I really think they're being too conservative with that estimate.

depends on exactly where it stalls out. If it's over the islands it'll stay relatively strong despite making landfall.. if it's 50-100mi inland it should start to die pretty fast.

as far as winds go yes

but LA is still getting a lot of rain. There's gonna be some pretty widespread flooding.

and that heavy precip band at 84h is stretching all the way to lafayette. what a mess, especially if the storm core follows it.
