I read a blurb of an article that says the mixed use development in Harveston will start construction soon. Does anyone know what is going in the development?

J load zero lot line garden homes

4000 sq ft houses on 5000 sq ft lots with front load garages

A gas station at the front, possibly a strip mall

An area marked out for a park that never gets built

We could be more specific if we knew the area this development was happening

According to LatterBlum:

Car Wash, Convenience Store, Day Care Facility, Free-Standing Building, Garden Center, Mixed Use, Movie Theatre, Parking Facility, Post Office, Restaurant, Retail-Pad, Service Station/Gas Station, Street Retail, Tavern/Bar/Nightclub, Other

Someone told me the master plan was something similar to Seasides Town Center. TIFWIW.

There has been some activity in the land just north of Bluebonnet, west of Springlake. Assuming this is the location.

harveston is the new-ish neighborhood past springlake known as The Preserve. they're building a very large extension adjacent to it. this might be what the article is about.

Several new homes are already under construction. Not sure about master plan but a couple hundred homes will be built in newest phase within the next few years.

The Preserve at Harveston is around 350 homes. The Lakes at Harveston will be 1100 homes between The Preserve and University Club.

The new Harveston development will have anchor grocery stores, charter school, hospital, nursing home and assorted levels of housing. All supposed to be upscale quality. Not strip malls as mentioned. It’s a Mike Wampold development. He and John Fetzer do not do shabby.

The community pool will have cabanas where female members can get a deep-tissue massage while their children have a supervised play date.

This isn’t what is going there in particular, these are just the keywords they have so when you search for one of these on the database this property will pop up

What is exactly is this? Maybe it can be expanded to the entire city of St George. Wouldn't bother expanding beyond that, it's already lost.
