Both the leftists that actually entered the thread insulted who they deemed to be their political enemies and never once addressed why this is needed.
Again, they vote for a party that purposely creates this issue, then they insult those that point out the failures, thus continuing the cycle.

Now I wish I would’ve done something better with my math skills.

He said the Covid-19 pandemic led to gaps in students’ math skills and learning abilities, prompting the need for a new introductory course.
How long is Covid going to be the excuse?

When I found I needed a C average to graduate I realized any grade higher would be wasted effort.

As a high school math teacher the gaps in math ability are a huge problem rn. The problem is kids get pushed along regardless of passing or failing a math course. So if they fail 8th grade math for example they still get pushed to algebra 1 where they obviously struggle because they’re missing the skills to be successful there. Then they get pushed to geometry where they’re missing the algebra and basic math skills learned in 8th grade to be successful and so on.
Some districts do a better job of attempting to rectify it than others but it’s a massive problem almost everywhere.
Covid exacerbated the problem but it was an issue before then as well.
