Hardest and most interesting class you took in college

I was an Atmospheric Sciences (meteorology) major at ULM.
Hardest: Climatology. Brutal combination of difficult math and boring subject matter. The professor was also kinda dry and boring at times. He was a nice guy, just not good at keeping attention.
Most interesting: US History 1 or Poli Sci. Both had awesome professors which made the class exciting and fun. I also enjoyed radar meteorology just from the hands on aspect.

Louisiana History
The teacher was pretty entertaining and touched on some good stuff
It also helped that I had the previous semesters tests

Hardest was probably strengths.
Most interesting was hydrology I guess. Not really many interesting classes in a civil engineering curriculum.

Hardest: biopharmaceutics. No question about it.
Most interesting: Toss up between Criminal Procedure and organic chemistry lab
ETA: had Ace for biopharm at NLU. The class average for the first exam was like a 68. Ace was legit pissed that it was that HIGH. As a class, we never got above a 62 for the rest of the year.

Most interesting were the U.S. history classes that I took. I had some good professors I thought. That stuff is my wheelhouse anyways, so it would take a lot for me to not enjoy those classes.
I stink at math beyond basic algebra, so I guess most difficult would have been math classes and the sciences that rely heavy on the math. I did okay in biology, so-so in chemistry, but shitty at physics.

Hardest was translating Beowulf from old English to modern.

Same. I was a duel major in geology and physics. Thought Climatology would be a fun class. Wrong!
Most interesting was the historic preservation class I took at the College of Charleston. The whole city is a museum of colonial British architecture.

Chemical Engineer at LSU.
Hardest and most interesting were the same. Heat and Mass Transfer with Louis J Thibodeaux. He was an amazing teacher.
I came to find later in life he was also an amazing man. My wife and I ended up at a party with him. Someone asked how it was to be married to the same woman for 50 years. His response is something that my wife and I both have reflected on frequently.
He said while he’d been married to the same woman that he’d been married to at least 3 or 4 different people over that time so it was always something interesting and novel. That insight has helped my wife and I through some very difficult and dark times in our own relationship over the years (10+ married, 20+ together).

Engineering major
Took this level 4 history class as an elective on Alexander the Great because I’m a big fan. Didn’t think even consider it might be a hard class
Holy shite. So much reading. Bunch of history majors and me. Almost didn’t graduate and my parents had already flown in for my graduation.

Hardest class I took was Electrical Engineering.
Most interesting class was Assembly Language. My assembly language professor was a genius Korean guy that used to be a Compiler Engineer for Samsung.

Hardest: women’s studies. It took everything I had to not get expelled from the university during this elective that I got sort of railroaded into by lack of scheduling priority and my college job conflicts.
Most interesting: labor law

Most interesting: Louisiana history taught by Tommy Carlton.
Carlton's professor was none other than T. Harry Williams, the foremost authority on Huey Long.
Fantasy literature: Read and 'studied' fantasy novels. Everybody in that class could have taught that course.
Hardest: Intro to Psychology: The professor stuttered. And what made it worst it was it was in a big class with 400+ students.

Parables of Jesus. Was taught by an 82 year old priest from Belgium.

I was a computer science major. Either Programming Languages or Compiler Design. Both were taught by the same professor at ULL that seemed intent on torturing us with insane amounts of theory and/or obscure programming languages that had no true application in the real world. Database design & E-Commerce were the most interesting to me at the time and probably had the most real world applications in my career thus far.

Same here. Shout-out to Gaines Foster at LSU. He was a great lecturer for US History. I was "meh" going into the first one, but he made it so interesting that I made a point to take his class for the second one. I took notes for 90 minutes straight til my hands fell off, yet still enjoyed the class.
