I don't think thet are struggling to bill hours with this. Not sure why this is the part that has them salivating.
Especially in a case where Kalais may end up bankrupt before this is all over.

After 9/11, the rescue and recovery clean-up of the 1.8 million tons of wreckage from the WTC site took 9 months. That was multiple skyscrapers. This is one hotel.

So they’re just going to leave a partially collapsed building right in the middle of the busy downtown area for a year? That’s so New Orleans.

Have I missed the report about what caused this cluster in the first place?

That was a full blown Federal emergency response with no budget or cap on spending.
I doubt FEMA is going to step in and right this ship.

NOFD Chief wants them to short cut the demolition process.... golden
The NOFD Chief is a self-proclaimed Demolitions expert though so if anyone knows he does.

Why does this help the lawyers?
I was downvoted in the original thread on this but it was always going to be at least 15 months before this thing was taken down due to the civil examinations that have to take place involving all of the litigation cases. They were never going to be able to just demolish it and wipe away all of the evidence which is what the idiots at city hall & Kailas thought they could do.

08 said he thought it would be down asap

Ok I realize there are people in there. Unfortunately they are probably mostly or completely decomposed. Whether the family gets intact remains or fragment remains, I doubt it will change much for them.
Why can’t the demolition crew just get to work and start taking the building down?

It seems like there is a fast method then a cheap method.
The developer gets to choose the method.

Give me a few tons of tannerite and we can get this thing down quickly

Have they approved tearing down the neighboring buildings, which the developer would love to get to do to?

It appears that is the quick and expensive method.
