So, the Economist says that after year 46, you start becoming progressively happy, after, basically, 45 years of being progressively unhappy.

Do we think that's true?
Happy Birthday to everyone in their mid-40s...

Is that the IDGAFWOPT age?

I'd say that is mostly accurate.

I can't wait to finally be happy.

I was going to say Poli-Talk Board, but your use of the word "progressively" makes me think that might be a bad idea.

I don't think we get "progressively unhappy" up to age 46, but I can see the rationale in becoming progressively more happy after it. You know wtf you're doing at work so that's probably not as stressful as your mid-late 30s, your finances are in order, you don't have little babies running around, you've settled into a nice home, etc. At that point it just seems like you're on auto-pilot and just enjoying the ride, whereas in your younger days you're going a mile a minute and are still learning so much.

Clever, eh? I should get points.
Birthdays are always good. Even the mid-40s ones. :)

Well. I'm interested in the actual story. The details. Not the general Cliffs Notes version.

That might take a while. Unless things keep going the way they're going. Then it won't matter
. But sure. I'll tell you if you really want to know.
