Billie Holiday? Ella Fitzgerald?

Aretha Franklin.

Sorry, but there’s something about those black female singers from back in the day. I could listen to Ella Fitzgerald sing ‘At Last’ on perpetual loop.

A threesome with her and Linda Ronstadt in their primes would have been divine.

That stairway performance is all time. Lots going on there. Jason playing drums, you can tell he is thinking of his dad. Robert in deep thought thinking holy shite this is what this song was meant to sound like. And Ann Wilson just slaying it on the vocals making that the best version of that song I have ever heard.

Met her shortly before "Covid" hit and shut everything down. She's a lot shorter than I thought and she was very gracious. She is very pretty up close.

Not in any realm governed by reality. Benatar has the widest octave range ever observed in a rock singer.

Source?

Benatar seemed way more packaged for pop. Jett seemed more into the Rock & Roll

Ever dream of "A Wilson Sandwich"? There was a time.

I'll give ya one of the greatest voices of all time. White Category at least, along with Linda Ronstadt. Aretha's in another category.

Jett sounds like Del Shannon taking a shite, though.
