Handyman advice needed--covering gap around water lines under sink

Ideas for easiest / cheapest fix for this gap at the cabinet base beneath my kitchen sink?
No evidence, but I'm concerned pests could gain access through it.
Gap is about 5" max from front to back.
Decent handyman skills here---I'm no Bob Vila.
Fire away, O' great minds of the OT...

Pee in the hole. Marks your territory and rodents won't dare come through it.

beat me to it. My house is pier and beam. Had a similar case when i installed a new soaker tub. had tons of space around the new drain. Spray foamed it and it's been great. It's hard as a rock

I guess you could attach some wire lath (mesh) and trowel some masonry product in there...That against the floor or the wall?

Floor.
Was thinking foam at first, then figured mesh or something solid/semi-flexible like that might be better / easier.

What kind of foundation? What's in that hole?
Is there an exterior wall close to there?

Really?
Take a 12x12 piece of wood. Cut it in half. Dremel/jigsaw a half moon in each piece approximately 3 inch radius. Screw boards down around the water lines.

Is the sink in an island cabinet?. I'm just curious why the water lines and the 3" pvc line isn't in a wall cavity....
As far as repairing it.... I'd get sheet of 1/2" plywood and cut another bottom for the cabinet cutting it tighter around the plumbing but it'll have to be in two pieces....

Need to close this up with 2 pieces of plywood. Make 2 templates with cardboard... and trace both halves onto plywood. Don't have to fit that tight but get it kind of close.
Use 2 or 3 plywood clips like these on each half and between the 2. Clips like these.
Put it together and then caulk in between. A little spray foam around the pipes and call it a day. Will look pretty good and you can pull it all out if you ever need access for some reason without tearing shite up.

More like a peninsula, but the sink has a "bar top" behind it, no wall.
Appreciate the suggestions...plywood seems like a solid option.

Before you fill it in with anything that might be 'permanent' be sure to ask your termite person if he needs to treat that dirt first.
