Ham’s fashion corner: high rise jeans

So my wife is always bitching about seeing my boxers when I bend over. Most fashionable men’s jeans today are low rise and basically meant to sit at the hip, so when I wear them there is really nothing I can do about it.

I finally got fed up with the bitching though and went in search of some higher rise jeans. There are a handful of options out there, with most of those options costing over $100/pair. However, I found these American Eagle “dad” jeans on sale for $22.50.

I got a pair and wore them today. They come up about 2 inches higher on my waist, and they look better on me than any other pair I’ve ever worn. They are not slim fit as they are loose in the thigh, but it does taper down from the knee to the ankle so it doesn’t cover your shoes like a regular or boot cut jean.

The photo above makes it look like there is serious contrast from the top of the thigh down to the knee, but they aren’t like that at all in person. There’s a mild lightened area but it’s not half as stark as the photo represents.
