Is ford still having problems with their diesel?
Ford is trash
We'll never buy another one. I'm not sure how they've survived unless it's from repairs out of warranty.
7.3 was their best. 6.0 is trash and I own one. Beast of an engine but big bucks to maintain.
Who would have thought that an alternator not kicking in for 60 seconds after a hard start would be a bad idea for a FICM?

7.3 was such a great engine. Mmmm I miss that 250

I'd love to drop a 7.3 in my Excursion and might do it one day. Just not sure if I want to drop 10k or sell it for 15k. Amazing vehicle....such a toss up.

Twelve thousand + posts you have in 3500'ish days. Bitch, if I time for the trifling chit that you do, I wouldn't have the time to own the jets that your boss charters.
Doing the OT thing is easy: Troll and act like a breadwinner; frick my fat wife, rinse, pay the bills, staple my balls to the wall, rinse, repeat.

Another goodun'. I've owned many crew trucks with one in them. Love a 7.3.

7.3 can’t be touched by the 6.0 but the 6.7 is in a league of its own. I have had all three, the 6.7 wins hands down on everything. Having said that, the gas is no slouch either. Just don’t test drive a 6.7 if you are really considering a gas one it will ruin you to the tune of 9 grand.
I went from a half ton to a 3/4 years ago. Would t go back. Even when not towing heavy it is better all around. Just make sure you check the door sticker for the payload. The newer ones with all the options suffer greatly in payload. My 06 6.0 stickered at 3100 lbs. 17 stickers at 2150 lbs. Same truck but more options on the newer one. It would have been worth it in retrospect to pay the additional 500 for the srw 350 to have more payload.

That's what I was afraid of. GM is putting the same transmission in their trucks, asking for trouble with it.

there's a reason why people who gotta really haul chit almost exclusively use standard shift transmissions. When you're really hauling a real load, you're not driving, your operating (should be true 100% of the time), and a standard shift allows the operator to command the machine as he sees fit.
There's a lot of automatic big rigs. Are they not "really hauling a real load"?

You realize you are on pace to post more in the same amount of time...
