It's hard to ignore the insults, dangerous attitudes, and hopeless ignorance that flooded this thread after I asked a simple question aimed at those that have passed/failed a hair test after using products that claim to help.
Shouldn't be hard for a genius.

Just kidding. It's the OT. You have to ignore the BS responses. Responding to them is the only way to give them life.

Yes, but I'm sure you'd like to know where the speed traps are.

Big difference is I'm not high at work or looking at ways to get high at work without getting caught.

I've heard this before. Do you have firsthand knowledge of this being effective for someone?

A friend of mine swears by this. He did cocaine with his ex a few days before court for child custody stuff....they were semi friends by then but still fighting over support after over a year....went to party , both there, yada yada yada.

His current fiance was a stylist. SO he bleached, then she colored and all was good. He was a marine from the past so he never did have long hair. The ex cried to him after he won custody asking him how he passed and she failed.

Also..good buddy (RIP) ran SECON for years. There are more expensive tests that test the roots that can't be tricked...but most companies didn't bother paying the higher fee. They usually test hair to catch the heavy users. A recreational evening every so often isn't necessarily what they are looking for in hair samples (unless they go for the roots). Basically said the hair looked for long term hard abuse and the urine/blood was to catch and recent activity.

Note: This was 2 years ago so I'm sure its possible things have advanced.

How does the potential employee handle differing personalities and opinions?

Also, the job is not for fun, its to get money. Being smart doesn't mean that I can make cash or capital appear out of thin air.

I'd say being in the top 1% globally in intelligence, and being as confident and already successful as you are, it would be much easier for you than us common folk.

Also, this post, undoubtedly overstated to prop yourself/dump on people with much more sense than you, made it seem like this job was of no consequence, unnecessary, superfluous, etc. Sorry for reading your own words at a less than genius level.

I'm also financially stable with multiple income streams (income properties), so I'm not as scared as some when it comes to being extorted into changing my personal life for the interests of others, leading to behaviors others consider 'risky'. My family is happy and healthy. My wife is a professional and smokes daily, as do many of the young people that I've worked with in professional environments- engineers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, business owners, medical students, etc.

This position is not even that big of a deal. If I don't pass, I'll just game the urinalysis of the next opportunity. I'm simply using the next few years of income to grow my rental property business into an operation that's self sustainable.

Not really. I generally get a ticket once a year or so and don't worry about it otherwise. If I see a bunch of cars in front of me all hit their brakes, of course I will too, but that's as far as it goes. I don't have a radar detector, for example.

That isn't the issue here. The issue is whether your prospective employer is okay with people who use in their off-hours. This one isn't, so why would you want to work there?

I could have handled myself in a classier manner, but the kinds of insults and ignorance that I've encountered on this thread are maddening. Note that all of my comments that you referenced were in reply to attacks on my intelligence and character.

I'm only using the anecdotal methods you used in this thread, but the people I know that respond like that to the slightest negativity are the ones with the lowest level of intelligence.

No, you're an old, prude dumbass if you think that people who smoke pot are hippies that aren't successful.

This! Do you really believe that someone who smokes pot is automatically disqualified from ever being successful or, worse yet, do you assume that no successful people smoke pot?
