I've had 3 HT, 1 by FUT, 2 by FUE, about 30k all in all. Couldn't imagine being bald.

there are NO drugs, sprays, hair products whatsoever that will prevent you from going bald. If it really bothers you that much save about 40K and prepare for several transplants. ONLY way around it.

Minox and Finasteride in dark haired individuals can buy you a few years, but eventually they lose their effectiveness.
Depending on when you start HT process and severity will determine # of procedures. Good news is with success of beard hair and FUE donor hair has never been more in supply.
Hopefully these follicle cloning companies in Asia have success and it will be an even simpler procedure

Fire it before it quits.

Just shave it. Don't fight nature.
As someone who made the mistake of trying this a year or two too long, take this advice. Best decision you'll make this year.

I feel for you man, I'm in the same boat. Finasteride and hair transplants are the only real solutions. Don't waste your time and money on the other crap. Finasteride will halt your hair loss, but you'll have to take it for life. Some people claim it even regrows hair, but my personal experience was that it simply halted any further loss. FUT is expensive but works extremely well, as long as you find a good doctor. Way better than the old doll-hair look the old methods gave you.

Don't take finasteride, it fricks a lot of guys up. Let nature do its thing, keep it close cropped, then when you can afford it, get transplants if you don't like the way you look without it. I will clue you in though that guys that rock their balding head by close cropping/shaving it aren't noticed, but those that try to hide it are (because it looks ridiculous).

Accept nature and let your hairline recede. When you get to the point that you have a combover, shave your head. That's what I did and I have no regrets.

Minoxidil allowed me to keep my hair for an additional 20 years. Don't care any longer to continue it.

There is a generic version of Fin in Canada. It cann regrow some but if you take it early enough, it can act more as a preventative.

One less thing to worry about

I had a full head of thick dark hair when I was younger. I used to laugh at the bald guys because I thought it would never happen to me. When I was in my early 30s, I started to notice I was losing my hair, and it was pretty depressing. I started trying all manner of expensive oils, ointments, and supplements to keep my hair. After a few years of this, I decided it wasn't worth it, pulled out a pair of beard clippers and gave myself a very close cropped cut. Not long after that I shaved my head completely, and I've never looked back. I've been blessed with a head that looks good shaved, so that helps. Some women don't like the shaved look, but many do. It'll make you look tougher and more self-confident even if you aren't. When I look at pictures of me with hair, I think I looked too boyish and almost silly. You may think this is bs, but if all of a sudden there was a miracle cure for baldness, I'd pass and stick with my look. My only regret about being bald is I look foolish with a full beard so I have to limit my facial hair.

Couldn't you just get a hair piece?
Not sure why a transplant is the only option
