How much gear is he on?

Plenty, but probably not as much as you'd think. They've figured that shite out a whole lot more in recent times. It turns out that having a doctor's guidance with regular bloodwork is a whole lot better/safer than just blasting whatever you can buy from the trunk of some random's car.

Yeah he’s squatted around 1,015 in competition

I thought it was in suit but strong is strong. At his height it’s impressive.

Most impressive squat I’ve seen was probably Shane Hammond switching from Olympic lifting to powerlifting and squatted 1,000 pounds. He went down just as fast as he came up with it. Actually I think he power lifted first.

He could do a backflip at 5’9” 360 pounds

The last max squat event Strongman has had, at least at a major open level, was the Arnold a few years back. I enjoyed it, even if it was slow. JF Caron won it easily with 966 and then went on to blow out both quads on the log press, pretty much ending his career. That's still one of the worst injuries I've seen happen live, and it could have been so much worse than it was. I don't know how that log missed him on the way down.

Caron's deadlift and squat were both still going up at the point of his injury, he just wasn't challenged much in the max events at that time. His opening weights were higher than 80% of the field's max.

He’s clearly sauced to the gills but why would you think he needs a lot to deadlift that? The guy weighs 400 fricking pounds. It’s not that impressive outside of the actual number. Relative to his weight it’s not just insane strength or anything. Go watch Team China’s Olympic lifting team if you want to see impressive numbers relative to weight
