Not a terrible experience, but definitely weird. The numbing injections were the worst part. When he put the balloon up the canal going over my eye sockets, I could hear (audibly) flesh cracking and expanding.

Didn't have a ton of blood. But the two Vicodin and two Valium they made me take before the procedure put me in a haze the rest of the day.

I will have to wait for the results, but so far I'm thinking this might be the best money I ever spent.

Oh, and the nurse had nice cans.

I’ve had it. Helped for a while until the cartilage shifted back. But was a very easy procedure

Thought about it, but sounds horrible. So your experience wasn't that bad? I would rather be knocked out, something about hearing my flesh tearing just doesn't seem pleasant, but I'm just weird that way.

I had it about 2:00 today. It's now after 10 and I am no longer bleeding. Virtually no pain. I plan on going to work tomorrow, if that answers your question.

What triggered you to have the procedure done?

Have septoplasty and thank me later.

Ps. Recovery fricking sucks but it's lifelong results

Agreed. The first 2 days can be brutal, but after about a week you feel you're back to normal. Mine may have taken a little longer to heal because of my overuse of Afrin & Vicks before the procedure

Friend had it and was very satisfied with the results. Said the weirdest part was the seeing the light from the camera with the back of your eye!

Chronic sinus infections, pressure, etc. I have sounded like I have a cold 24/7/365 for at least a couple of years.

I want this done on me. My sinuses are terrible.

A doctor has to approve this beforehand or can you go to them and say you want him/her to perform the procedure?

Thank you, it was so out there I had no idea what he was trolling about. Kudos to you both.
