Some of you are already familiar with this but it was my first hands on experience.
It reads the road signs and tells you the speed limit.
It automatically dims your headlights.
It corrects you when you drift over a little too far.
It adjusts for the crown in the road so it doesn't pull to the right.
It's kind of scary, tbh. They can roll out the mass market self driving technology whenever they get over the legal and regulatory hurdles. The capability is already there.

So it had technology that my moms Honda Accord has? Cool

Does it compensate for the weight of specific truck nuts?

Thanks.

Nah it was someone else's truck. Mine hopefully has another 50 or 60k left in it.

My wifes car told me I was showing signs of fatigue and I needed coffee and popped directions to nearest coffee stop on the gps...

The wife’s 2018 rav4 does the same thing

The only input my vehicle gets is through the steering wheel and three pedals on the floor. Just how I like it.
(adaptive cruise control would be cool though, if I'm being honest)

GM is always playing catch up when it comes to technology. Apparently the GMC and Chevy baws think auto high beams is a stunning new revelation.

I didn’t know any car in 2011 had this kind of stuff. Many if not most 2011 cars didn’t even have Bluetooth yet

The ability of your vehicle to tell you the speed limit was around. My 2010 f150 had that. It utilized the gps

Not even close.

This one uses the front camera to read the signs.

Sounds like a lot of shite to break in a few years.

No. It's not.
My 2014 Grand Cherokee tells me the speed limit, will hit the breaks if I'm coming up on a stopped object in the road and don't do it myself, auto dims the head lights, has automatic windshield wipers, has hazard warning alarms for anything to the sides or behind me when I'm changing lanes or backing up, tells me tire pressure and all sorts of technical things, and a person will contact me and call emergency services if I get in a wreck and don't respond. I don't have the highest trim level either.
Kind of sounds like it's been a while since you've checked out a new vehicle.
