I have never shopped in one of their groceries. What is so special about shopping there?
Is it the produce, the selection of name brands, do they sell electronics, clothes, etc...?

HEB branded products are great.
The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Aisles are wide and clean.

groceries is 90 %. of the store. Always clean and orderly. Prices very competitive with Walmart. Hey does need to figure out how to stop the winter texans from blocking the aisle.

Also their top Tier ice cream rivals Ben & Jerry's and shits on Blue Bell.

They have higher-quality groceries than Rouses and at cheaper prices.
HEB is awesome.

I've witnessed Baws in Houston get into a scuffle over HEB Brisket to smoke

They know their market and cater to it; high end meats (dry aged steaks in store), high end seafood choice, heb brand products are on point and specific to Texans food tastes, high end grocer for chefs (ours is equal to Central market) cheese shop like a local high end local place, making whole wheat tortillas in house and bread, boiling shrimp and crawfish out front on the weekends, wine choices equal to total wine, quick delivery and or pickup. During storms those mfers bring in generators, extra pallets of shite and porta toilets etc and open up. Best retailer I've ever encountered.

Large aisle lanes. Helps to circumvent those that become delirious and lose spatial awareness while they produce shop.

It is like Buc-ee’s and whataburger
You just have to experience it.. good to great quality and lots and lots of selection.. they also tweak their store for the specific area and patrons in the area also.

no H-E-B doesn’t need to sell clothes or electronics, it’s all about quality meat, seafood, and produce locally sourced from Texas farms (if possible). And the H-E-B brand items are better than name brands by a significant margin.

HEB is far and away the best grocery store in the country.

It's cheaper than everywhere else too. Plus any HEB in the Houston burbs or inside the loop is filled with MILF candy.

I witnessed something similar at the HEB near the I-610 loop/ I-45 but they weren't baws and it wasn't about the brisket.
