Same here. I go to Mercer Supply Co. on Nicholson now. Pricey...but legit. Clippers don't touch my hair now.
ETA: They do real straight razor barbering and have complimentary whiskey too.

Mr Lawrence moved to Jefferson Hwy next to Monjunis; not sure if LSU Barbershop will reopen (they're talking of having more of a gender neutral salon).
I've always had good results with him (just usually get a trim, not high and tight
