Fast casual is a good compromise during those years.

You see this at Superior Grill, which freaks me out because the servers are almost always carrying a tray of sizzling fajitas.

Last time we went to Ichiban some kids were playing full fledged hide and seek while their parents were getting shitfaced at the hibachi table.

This sounds like suburban existence in a nutshell.

This is the correct answer. My second kid was terrible in public, so we just had to do without going to restaurants with him till he was older. We were dumb enough to have him, so it’s only right that we should have to suffer and not the people around us because he was a screaming, screeching turd for his first few years.
In all seriousness, he turned out to be a great kid, but those first few years were rough... our first child was so great, we couldn’t wait to have another. He ended the desire for a third

I would agree for the most part, although it depends where you are. If you are outside at a playground or something, then that's fine. But I don't want to hear that shite inside a restaurant. People have no respect for their surroundings and it bugs the ever living hell out of me.

So much stupidity in this video on all accounts.
- Mom gets out phone to record the guys just sitting there, and starts talking loudly about them going viral and complaining about THEM complaining. It looked like the altercation was over before that
- "One yearS old"
- Cries of racism, when it's probably just crotchety old dudes that would've complained about any baby screeching and making loud noises
- Mom that can barely speak English
- Old guys that then continue to escalate
- The one old man walking up to their table and putting his cell phone in their faces. Not cool
- Both parties having zero common courtesy or sense. If the baby WAS indeed screaming and/or crying loudly, take her outside. This mom did herself no favors in making me believe she's the type that would have the decency to do that if her baby was loud. These old men did themselves no favors in making me believe they were in the right and that the baby WAS overly loud. Both parties look stupid.
- We need to know what happened before to truly gauge which was being a bigger ignorant a-hole. The mom strikes me as the type that thinks her "1 years old" baby is an angel princess that could get away with murder because everybody either loves her, or she deserves to be loved by everyone because she's a "cute and special queen!"
- The old guys strike me as the types that just because they frequent the venue, think they're somehow "owners" and can run the place how they see fit. Anybody that's worked at a bar or restaurant knows these guys, the "regular" that takes it upon themselves to do shite like grab a glass from behind the bar or walk back into the kitchen to grab a condiment. They also seem like the toolbag types that would sit back and make sarcastic passive-agressive remarks loud enough for the target to hear.
- in short, frick all of these people

I don’t have kids, but a copious amount of my very near and dear friends do. Over the course of the last several months, many of said friends, have been locked in their houses with their sweet childrens. If my best, most valued, respected, intelligent, trusted, admirable friends , spend many days of those aforementioned months, seriously (as in, this is not a f’ing joke) discussing how to best escape the company of their own spawn that they truly unconditionally love and, as many of you parents aren’t shy to admit, will kill for, then I have reaffirmed this global truth... Poo poo on YOUR kid. No one likes your kid. If, in a moment of infinite truth, you were asked if you liked your kid, you might have a momentary split second pause before saying yes. So, again, poo poo on one iota of a second I have to be around YOUR crap asshoe kids
I didn’t actually watch the video, but this topic invoked that response out of me. Carry on gentleman.

Funnily enough my son is the only person I know that uses “poo poo” as a verb on the reg. I think y’all would get along.

Fair enough, I might like one kid:)

I either don’t go to restaurants, or if I have to go and bring my kids I step outside with them when they get noisy.
There’s no reason to ruin an entire restaurants time because you’re a selfish inconsiderate frick

But if your kid is screaming and crying for more than a minute or 2, you certainly should remove them from that public situation if possible, like being at a restaurant. Take the kid to the bathroom, outside, anywhere but in the middle of the restaurant if they're screaming for for any prolonged amount of time. Obviously if you're on a plane or some shite, your options are limited, people around you should understand in those instances.

Me, either. I will say that one guy was a complete a-hole. You walk up to my family and stick a phone in someone’s face, we’re going to have problems.
I'm a pretty civil dude and would obviously go out of my way to avoid an actual fight especially in public with my child there, but that other dude coming up to the table like that could easily be taken as a threat when he's on his way to the table. Again, he wouldn't have done that if it was a dude at the table, but if he did and I was there, I definitely would have stood up to confront him(not physically) well before he got near my child.
