So a guy that can't even pass the bar is suing someone
Oh the irony

California bar exam is one of the hardest to pass. Pass rates were at 47% recently. I think Louisiana is around 70%

He graduated in May 2006 and immediately started studying for the California bar exam, he said. He failed the bar despite studying, and he took a managerial job at GameStop, a retail video-game store. Though concerned with passing the bar, Moffatt said, he had bigger issues to worry about — like ballooning student-loan debt. He needed a job, any job, to start to pay his bills.
Notice how they never give his grades or rank for law school? And yeah, not a lot of full time, high paying legal jobs for people who aren't licensed to practice.

Well, law schools are admitting More students than the profession can support. They have gotten greedy. I know several lawyers that went to law school, passed the bar and have had to take jobs that don't pay well.
Law firms know there is a glut of young lawyers so they are offering very low salaries.
Anyone who is not top of his law school class from a major state school or has a daddy or granddaddy in a firm - employment opportunities are limited.

A shite load of law schools are about to close down.

So he chose a law school that is not ranked over a Tier 2 law school? I don't think so.

Last go around was around 61% for Louisiana. A few years ago it was in the 40s.

So help me understand this...before he went to law school he could have had any criminal justice job he wanted. Then, he goes to law school and that's no longer an option?
Wut?

Why are these people always the worst examples.
In truth, law schools do skew numbers and lie to students. It's bullshite.
But Mr. Can't Pass the Bar who goes to TJ is a terrible ambassador. For those not familiar, TJSL is Cooley-esque, meaning it is one of the most mocked and worst law schools in the country. Cooley, for example, created its own rankings (Cooley is #2) to publish because it's so shitty.

I saw this article earlier today. Besides what others have mentioned, did anyone else notice the gratuitous shot at Uber?
As if every job is supposed to support a family with multiple children regardless of job duties or skill required?
Uber is just the new whooping boy in the unending line of them.
Anywho, law schools did indeed hide their employment stats. However, no one was confused between Thomas Jefferson and Baylor. He's full of shite on that.

If his complaint had been solely he went to a school because they lied about some numbers and he found out how big of a crock they were I would definitely be on his side.

That's becoming the narrative with the "$15/hour minimum living wage bullshite" that people/candidates are pushing.
And hell, this guy should be singing the praises of Uber. They actually gave him a job.

I don't know why he's complaining.
Uber driver I had on Saturday in NOLA stated he makes $1K/week part-time. Uber drivers make 80% of the fare and Uber gets the other 20%.

His shirt says "Note to self, play more video games". He never grew up, he's like Peter Pan.

The Uber drivers here in Atlanta don't make shite.
Posted on 12/22/15 at 2:35 pm to Chucktown_Badger
By his own admission it was this or zero.
Also, I bet he could use his undergrad degree by interning somehow in that field while uber keeps him afloat, but it appears he's not interested in that.
Also, his loans are probably federal. If he became a police officer (high school degree) not only is he in criminal justice, his loans would be COMPLETELY forgiven in 10 years. Aka he'd be done or almost done with them by now.
What an asshat

So he failed the bar, got a job at Game Stop, and is filing suit now? At least he was on the right track with law school. Amirite?

Dude is so full of shite I can't even handle it, and I'm sympathetic to his plight.
If he had become a cop the year he got out(2006) his loans would have been gone next year(2016) under public service loan forgiveness
