All depends on the type of mushroom. 2G of penis envy is enough to see god. 2g of golden teacher is a fun afternoon.

it is legal for them to sell it to you. Depending on where you live it may not be legal for you to buy it. Make sense?

in the real world, it’s not much of a risk. I’ve never given it a second thought

Taking 5g of albino penis envy and laying in bed with an eye mask and the John's Hopkins mushroom Playlist on my earbuds is the most amazing thing I've ever done and I highly recommend everyone try it at least once.

This has my attention. What is the goal here? I see a lot of the responses have nothing to do with the desire to get high or trip. A lot of folks mention being cured or reaching a level of zen.

Has anyone here experienced this? Teach me.

I used to grow cubinsis in college.gave out a lot of shrooms in the 90s.

I used to do a 5gm min mostly solo trip every Sunday for about 2 years. By far the most transformative undertaking of my life. Went through several ego deaths. I do feel like I have a decent grasp of the concept of non self and interconnectiveness. My entire view of reality was transformed.

I love psychedelics

What is an ego death? Why do you say it is the most transformative thing? How did reality change?

I ask all of this from a genuine place of curiosity.

I have struggled with understanding some things in life. Sense of purpose. Who are we? What is reality. So all of this has my attention.

I’ve done the Lemon Tek method a few times on solo trips in my home and blasted off to the points of seeing my own inner light and also having the All Seeing Eye staring directly back at me. It is a wild wonderful place to go, and usually I was in the fetal position when it was all said and done, just me and the canine present.

Personally, if I am no longer in control of my “faculties”, I don’t want to be around anyone. The group sessions are when the shadows come out to play. Your trip isn’t anyone else’s and vice versa, and you never know what kinda shite someone may be going through. Not for the faint of heart. Somewhat demonic.

I like to stick a cap/stem in my lip like a dip when I go to shows or festivals, let it marinate a while, and my tolerance is super high because of that.

I don’t think 5g is excessive.

10 is excessive.

5 is a good time.

you are a perfect candidate then, but don’t get hung up on “reality”…that’s not what it’s about. For me it’s about being shown that we are all connected and intertwined and part of something much bigger than the individual self. That is what the fungus does…it is the the web that connects all living things to their environment. I recommend a book for you to read called “entangled life”. Read that and you’ll be super excited to learn more

That’s good info and I’ll absolutely look into that book.

See, I’ve been told similar by a friend who does the teas. He says it grounds him.

I just have a hard time understating exactly what this means. Often I read that folks have a life altering session. Or that they change old way that were negative. How? Why? What happens that triggers this?

I’m a complete amateur and the most I’ve ever done is 1.2g of something with elf in the name. The best way I can describe it is it allows you to zoom out of yourself, the same way you can zoom out on Google Maps. Once you’re zoomed out, you’re able to connect things in your life that you couldn’t see with a “street level” view. And it’s a really nice and powerful sensation. It made me realize how good my life is and how lucky I am to have all these great family and friends around me. How I have great access to nature, and ultimately how much God has blessed my life. Seems like people these days don’t care much for other people. I usually do .8-1 g of golden teacher. I’ve never done anything above 1.2g so I’ve never really gone out there.

I’ve had great experiences. Fwiw, I’m a Christian and I take my faith seriously, and I feel like psilocybin has allowed me to connect some of the religious themes from the Bible to my mind and my everyday life.

It’s certainly helped me love my neighbor more, and it’s allowed me to forgive easier.

I’d be scared to do shrooms. I feel like I’ve done a good job of managing my stress and mental state. Never suffered any real trauma in life. Feel like the shrooms would have the opposite effect and fry my brain.

Some psychedelics have the power to allow your brain to rewire itself.
