"Los Angeles police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a teenage girl in Hollywood early Sunday that was captured on videos posted on social media. Ramon Roque Monreal, 33, of El Paso was arrested by detectives shortly before noon Sunday, Los Angeles Police Department officials said. Monreal was booked on suspicion of murder and is being held in lieu of $3-million bail. The 17-year-old victim was from Huntington Park and was struck by gunfire near the popular intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, LAPD Officer Luis Garcia said. The coroner has not yet released her identity. As part of their investigation, detectives are studying videos posted on social media that appeared to show the moments before and after the shooting." - LATIMES

This was an illegal gathering of fools doing burnouts in the middle of the street with 'hundreds of spectators" watching.

Where we the cops and why was it not shut down long before this incident happened?

I was in El Paso about 17 years ago, felt like Mexico then. Waitress at Dennys spoke Spanish. I cant imagine what it's like now.

That video is full of morons. Not to takeaway from the victim, but at 17 she should not have been in that situation

Im just glad there were no police there to violate anyones rights.

And that gun didn't "just go off". He tried to get up and was pulling the trigger.

This happened at a "Street Takeover" street racing "event". I'm assuming it was illegal.
I heard it come over the scanner on Smoke n Scan's stream the other night.

Yet their homicide rate is only 1/14th what the homicide rate is in New Orleans.

Even Fort Worth, TX has a homicide rate that is 3x higher than El Paso.

You know as well as any sane person. The cops are not/will not step in a no-win situation. CALIFORNIA, need I say any more?
