I'm not smart enough to know what verbose means. I do know I can kick your Cornell arse, and my dad will find a reason to sue you after.

ETA: its frisbee golf Lester. According to my buddies at river parish community college don't hold me to it

Took every fiber of my being not to throw my Cornell Law degree in his pudgy little red face

This would be like me saying " What is with these pretentious assholes parking their Rolls Royces sideways in a parking space. It was all I could do to keep from ramming them with my Bentley".

If you want to talk about your law degree just talk about it. It really is something to be proud of. You don't have to come up with creative ways to talk about it.

Can you believe the unruly vitriol and downright reprehensible shrapnel thrown out by the reprobates in this thread? It’s gotten to the point where all this skullduggery is downright unconscionable .

S, brotha, we had a similar thread recently. IMO, if you're an MD/DO, I"m fine with caling you doc. But, I don't want to hear/see about your PhD/JD/MBA/engineering title.

Little known fact, PhDs were the original "doctors." The medical profession is much younger and they adopted the term "doctor" to give it legitimacy during the late 1800s. The Associated Press decided to refer only to medical doctors by the term "doctor" some time in the 1920s for clarity. So ... PhDs have every right to use the "Dr." title.

Harvard Law

My father in law (surgeon) was called by the defense council of one of his colleagues to testify on his behalf (father in law was chief of surgery at the time) and explain the case. The plaintiff's attorney was a Harvard law graduate. My father in law is from Poland and the Harvard attorney was attempting to paint him as less than qualified compared to the plaintiff's testifying physician. My father in law was very sharp and had the plaintiff's physician eventually agreeing with the defense. The Harvard attorney was getting flustered and asked my FIL in a snotty way where exactly did he get his surgical training from, etc. So my FIL asks him where he got his law degree and the attorney said smugly "Harvard Law", to which my FIL said "You shouldn't say that too loud, you are embarrassing them". My FIL said the judge laughed.

People who are most obnoxious about throwing titles in your face are the least secure about having any other worthy accomplishments to go with it.

It's like how reallybrich people don't have to shot you how rich they are as some people making $150k a year (e.g. Sam Walton)
