S, I'm glad that I saw my son earlier to confirm that it was not him that you met (the pudgy red face is also a dis-qualifier). He received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins in neuroscience in 2016. Sorry that one of his fellow alums was such a bore.

I will say that I'm mighty proud of him, S. He's gone to the finest schools (to which I never would have been accepted). He does not advertise his educational background or his career (which is no longer in academia). But I'd be proud of him whatever he did. He's just a good kid.
