I knew a cop who told me he would let dumbasses on crotch rockets go with no chase. Too much danger and 9/10 they would be in a one motorcycle accident anyway.

I had only seen one or two of those Neons around Baton Rouge and wondered if anyone took them seriously.

why not just buy a nice Mustang or a Camero if you want it to go so fast, and it looks good and not trashy as frick like a Dodge Neon does.

The neon is a super light weight, relatively cheap, and can handle lots of boost. There's a yellow one with black hood running around Houston, 1100whp.

Dodge had a Neon SRT model about 10 years ago that was designed to compete with the Subaru WRX. I don't know if it went 146 mph, but it wasn't slow.
Either that or the cop clocked the wrong car, which would not surprise me.
