$86,000 in paint? GTFOH.

One $20 gallon of latex paint will cover roughly 400 sq/ft. That's 20 gallons of paint needed for an 8200 sq/ft house. That's $400 in paint. Give it all a 2nd coat, that's $800. So, the labor cost $85,200?

That’s not small potatoes to live in your own private Idaho.

It doesn’t take furniture to build a home.

If your sofa is holding up a wall, you have some spliainin’ to do.

He probably doesn’t like that there are voters there that don’t vote for his “team”

As absurd as it is to think that.

According to the NAHB the nationwide average is $162 per square foot. That includes spec houses and one off custom homes. You can buy new construction spec houses in most of the south for around $130 a foot outside of major cities like Atlanta, charlotte and nashville...$180 for what I am assuming is a pretty nicely finished semi or straight custom home is a helluva deal

1.5M for that in Idaho is more than reasonable.

And his home insurance company will make him pay a premium to rebuild at $700/sq ft

Is this house 8200 living, or was it 8200 under beam?

That’s with a 2acre 185k lot. Dwelling and permits closer to $160/ft. Bigger you build, easier it is to get that cost per ft2 down. Lots of cheap space in a build that big.

Funny!

It does take furniture to be a home. Hope he has left some money for a toaster.

That’s cheap for a house that size. $180/sqft of living is a steal.
