Why would anyone even attempt to drive in a situation like that unless you were looking to cause problems?
Because it's a public roadway! Are you seriously blaming the victim for trying to navigate a public road?
"Why was she wearing such revealing clothing? She had to know she was inviting rape!"
Think about the logical ramifications of your statements.
ETA: I see Centinel beat me to it by a mere 15 pages.
Hell with it, I'm letting it stay. Bears repeating.

I offered to draw them a picture....

that was a much easier option than doing their job, dispersing the "protesters" and upholding law and order for the law abiding citizens.
So what is your solution in dispersing thousands of people safely and orderly?

Fire hoses.

Was it a public road?

It certainly isn't starting day one by letting them make the rules. All of this starts with a few who see how far they can take it. When no repercussions come, more join, and then police are telling business owners it would be safer to close their stores and board up windows.
Other cities had this happen. On night one, police did what they had to disperse the crowds. When the crowds moved, they moved.
On protest night number 2, they were orderly and, most importantly, stayed out of the damn road.
Sure, some people cried that it was "police brutality", and some lawyer announced he would take anyone's case who was "brutalized by the police", but that shite won't fly. The mayor made a statement backing up police, and now roads and businesses are open, and people are still protesting, like humans, not animals.

What is that going to change? Doesnt change the fact that the guy tried to carjack him, he already admitting to punching him in the face...the video shows him trying to either enter the car through the window or drag the driver out.....either way it was a good shoot

quote:Guy goes through a barricade and allegedly(something else we should probably know before dropping the case) was driving erratically at or near protestors.
What is that going to change?
If those 2 things turn out to be true, that would obviously change the carjacking claim.
quote:So if he drove through a barricade and was driving his car at people, still a good shoot?
either way it was a good shoot

apparently this happened right after the mayor said they were pulling the cops from this area
dude knew exactly what he was doing
So, once again, you ignore the fact he was committing a completely legal action by driving down a public roadway (it wasn't blocked off where the guy started chasing him).
Why no concern about the rabble-rousers "knowing exactly what they were doing" by blocking streets and attacking innocent people trying to pass through?

Did you watch the fricking video? He was driving at people. He was at a dead fricking stop when he was attacked. Not one time did he try to hit anyone with his car.

You need to watch the video again in slow motion.

So you'd rather just act like you have all the answers without actually having a plan to disperse a crowd safely and orderly.

You've never heard of someone being shot with a handgun at close range in te arm and live?
Well most people I know with a gun wouldn't hit a fricking arm at point blank range.
As we were all taught, when you shoot someone you shoot to kill

Capn', I don't get paid to have the answers. Nor did I willingly run for the public office that requires I have the answers.
All I am is a law-abiding citizen who pays his taxes and runs a business. In running that particular business, I am required to have all the answers. My business is not maintaining law and order, it is dependent upon those who maintain law and order. And they are failing.
I like your strawman, though.
