I bought a dash cam on Amazon (Red Tiger) and put it in my car myself. I needed one I could plug into cigarette lighter and string the wires myself. I did an awful job (likely to get strangled by wires) but I have the front and rear cams going.

i had been hit and run sideswiped, which was the final push for me to finally get one.

The brands/types/configurations are endless….just be sure to get front and rear cameras. Some also have a third camera that films interior. If I was driving Uber or lyft I would DEFINITELY include that as well.

Neurosurgeon Shamieh, MD, Khader Samer - Avala Spine was the doctor named in the Federal indictment in the New Orleans trucking insurance scam case years back. The feds say his office sent black Suburbans to pick up the scammer and bring them to Covington for medical evaluations. I'm sure he claimed not knowing anything about insurance scams and he was just treating their injuries, but the dude is bought and paid for by the plaintiffs bar. If you look him up he's the plaintiff's medical expert in numerous cases. He's wasn't charged with anything, but it certainly stinks!

These scams have been going on since at least the late 80's as I recall.
