What the stores should do is open and then charge 50% “convience tax” for people that forget Christmas is coming, then split that 50% among the employees working

Christmas is on the same day every year. Don't wait until the last minute to buy groceries.

This guy may not spend his $15 at their store because they won’t stay open late on Christmas Eve...somehow, I believe the store will manage without your sale.

It’s not some great offer

If that store decides to stay open then they HAVE to staff the store for that day. So it’s not a “choice” for most employees. They just have to work.

Why are people talking about planning ahead. Planning ahead has nothing to do with it? I don’t need anything from the store. Anything I would need is across the street from the store at the cvs. I would have made a purchase from the store if it was open on the walk home. It wasn’t so I didn’t. Not planning ahead has nothing to do with it.

I got a mobil gas station 2 blocks from my house. If I needed to grab the basics I could go there....
