I live in Nola so most of the spots closer to the store are taken up by buggies left in vacant parking spots.

I typically park in the middle, close to a cart return.

I'll try to get the closest spot, but I don't go up and down every row to try to get a good spot.

I'll try one row, and if there isn't a close spot I'll try one more row and just pick the closest spot on that row.

I don't give a damn where Jeeves parks when he is buying the groceries.

It's amazing to see how just 25 cents will encourage people to return their cart. Look at Aldi.

Started doing curbside pickup a few months ago. Best thing ever. Order and pay online. Go the store and they bring it out and load it all up for you. Gone in less than five minutes without ever getting out of the car.

I generally don't park in the first few spots (I leave them for old ladies, people with screaming kids, and the handicapped who can't park in the handicapped spot because some jackass entitled person parked there). After the first 5-6 spots, I'll park in the first available one.

What makes me laugh is the people who will wait 5 minutes for someone to pull out of a parking spot, holding up traffic, when an open spot is just 2-3 spots further away.

I park close to the back of the parking lot away from most of the cars and always put my cart in the cart corral.

I park away from the crowds.
I bring my buggy back into the store or to the buggy collector in an attempt to help the store keep overhead as low as possible.
I bring my own cloth grocery bags into the store.
