Gretna has better restaurants, better shopping, less traffic.

Metairie has old metairie and thats about it. The rest of the city is a giant armpit.

Gretna has Pho Tau Bay. One of the only reasons to go to the Wank.

Maybe for orleans parish but the west bank is better for jefferson parish - fact. Gretna also has less crime. Metairie is a shithole

I'd argue that Marrero is a little bit better than Gretna, which would also make Marrero>Metairie.

In all seriousness, Kenner is better than Metairie.

I work in Gretna and go there every day. I grew up in Metairie. I hate Metairie.

But you are incorrect. The options in Gretna run out FAST. Metairie may be chain ville, but there are at least a bunch of options.

As for shopping...wtf? Oakwood and that's about it.

For the most part, yeah, but those are all Vietnamese places. There's also Banana Blossom and O'Brien's in Gretna, then...a whole shitload of nothing.

Metairie at least has good options that don't reach those heights, but a LOT of options.

What's the better restaurant in Metairie: Bobby Hebert's, Buffalo Wild Wings, or PF Changs?
