Dad right before heading to Hawaii.........was on his way to Japan when they dropped the bomb.

Been gone 24 years this month RIP Dad

This is my favorite photo of my Dad...it was the day he came back from Vietnam and the first time he ever saw me. He told me that when he got the wire saying id been born, that he and a buddy went down to the beach with a bottle of southern comfort. Said they woke up the next morning on the beach and had crossed over the dmz where they were. Miss ya dad!!!

Dad passed in '88 at age 59, way too soon.

My dad just before departing for Hawaii and then to Iwo Jima.

All he ever said was he was on the second wave, he wanted some ice water, and the sulfur smell was awful. Died in 1978.

USMA Class of '55

I had a second cousin (once removed) in that class. Went by "Joe" but that wasn't either of his given names. Died about 4 years ago. Good family dude.
