Sick to my stomach by barely missing out on my dream house. Been searching on the internet, but I feel like I'm not seeing everything. Does anybody know the best way to find a house? Realtor? Internet? Newspaper? I am a first time home buyer.

Zillow is a good starting place. Working with an agent is also helpful.

Location?

I tend to look at mlsbox and fsbobr which covers most local homes between the two

Just drive around until you find one. Then knock on their door and ask to buy it.

Get a Realtor bruh. They will help find what you want and you don't pay them anything. Their commission comes from proceeds of the seller. V

Realtor?
could be. But remember they have their interests first, not yours. if you're new to an area this may be your best bet.

But I would use the

Internet?
.

Use things like zillow, etc. plus you can look up school zone ratings, etc. you can find what you want online if you want to put in your own time.

Newspaper?
lol. not useful since 1995.

So a realtor doesn't make anything until the sale is final. I found that house on zillow. I guess more specifically is that living in a Parrish like assumption, should I combine zillow and a realtor, or just do it myself

LINK

redfin, 1 day on redfin, search

zillow sucks arse, fake homes/information

depending on where you want and what you are looking for, I would advise against letting a realtor dictate what places you want to see

where do you work?(zip code)

Zillow will also have old arse listings that aren't even on the market, so be aware.

Any good Agent will have your interests first. Don't let these clowns on here steer you away from getting helped by an agent.

that's too big, give me a zip code that's relevant and a brief description. I just bought a place that I got 20% less than asking, 6 miles from my work. Real estate agent kept trying to get me to move to Livingston parish because of "schools" when I work in Ascension and go to school in Baton Rouge

Don't use Zillow

realtor.com is much better

Listings updated more frequently and their app is very user friendly. Being able to draw on the map exactly where you want to look to buy/rent is very helpful.

Realtor

It takes a while for them to get on Zillow and half the shite on it is under contract

If it's a good deal it will never make it to those sites

here $75k, no property tax
mortgage less than $350

starter home, would rent for at least $600 if you decide to move you have an income property. You could pay it off in 5-7 years easy.

Zillow and trulia suck, and have outdated information. Use realtor.com, or gbrar.com

You aren't. Realtors have a special network they can log into which allows them to see everything.

When I sold my home, we had viewings and an offer before it was ever on any of the main commercial pages like Zillow.

ah, so in your mind, limiting demand is a good pricing strategy?
