Many high paying jobs are going to vanish over the next few decades, just like it has before, but will be accelerated by technology.

I think the estimated pace of this is wildly exaggerated. Imo we are a good 40 years from a significant number of jobs being replaced.

The same way they fill a Pyxis. Even if a pharmacist is involved there could be far less of them.

Mortgage and Lending Agents will go first. The algorithms are already out there.

It takes longer to pick up a prescription than it does to get a Popeyes chicken sandwish.

Realtors, the ridiculous commissions they continue to demand, and their over sense of self worth.

Zillow is massively disruptive in this market with the plan to take out realtors.

Still have to have a pharmacist to check each bottle of pills.

Pharmacist can also give flu shots and what not. They can also (to some extent) diagnose you for certain things.

The 'robotic pharmacist' could totally happened and at some point it will. However the company would still have a pharmacist to 'check' the meds and give shots. A pharmacist would still be there to 'check' the meds and give shot.

I know a pharmacist very well and another issue is that the profession is getting over saturated.

There appear to be zero reasons a pharmacist can’t be replaced by iRobot. Change my mind.

I've seriously been thinking about it, and I can't think of one. Everything I've come up with, I can think of a pro-robotics response.

-A safeguard against drug interactions? Yea a robot would probably be better at that.

-Trustworthiness? A robot is probably more credible and definitely more reliable.

-Liability? This is tricky, but liability could be distributed.

On top of all of these things, a robot is less likely to give tide-me-overs and tasters. A robot is 100% less likely to miscount steal pills, or abuse pills.

shite I'm convinced.

Some people say pilots in passenger jets. Of course all of these people either never fly or are upper level bean counters at the airlines.

We are decades away from even a single pilot passenger jet.
