My kids adore me.
Maybe that'll change in teenage years. Because that's what teenagers often do. That doesn't mean the teenagers are right. Teenage angst is normal, but it's an opportunity for perverts like you to pounce

Oh man. Another thread where LNCHBOX can't keep up.

You said

If you parent your kids properly, they won't be corrupted.

But you can't... so you need the government to pass laws to do the job you can't do.

Sit down Tit, and turn to page 47, and read the third paragraph out loud.

Everyone laughs, and the class moves on.

Is the exact reason why our state needs to fix our schools, and not worry about who wants to be called what, until our schools are actually fixed.

Clearly, our education system has failed him.

It's not his fault. It's our fault.

Like Skip used to say, it's not fault that you suck, it's my fault for recruiting you.

Hormones and developing sense of self. It's part of life.

Keep attacking me while making no actual arguments. You'll surely get to a point that way

Agreed. LA spends about middle of the pack per pupil for 48th-50th rated schools. More funding won't solve this.

only a change in cultural mindset can begin to solve it

And that will take a generation (Biblical, not marketing), at the very least

It would be nice if people at least acknowledged the situation, tho

If a good parent is involved, they aren't talking about it with the teacher.

It may not be that the parents are "good" or "bad". The student just may not be sure exactly how they will respond and look to another adult like a counselor or teacher for advice. I dont have a problem with that at all. The issue I have is when the default position is to counsel the students long term or affirm their gender ID without involving the parents. If the child is truly scared of their parents reaction than that needs to be handled on a case by case basis. Its like folks have lost all common sense with regards to these topics.

Agreed. It's largely the students and their families that determine the quality of the schools.

I'm not familiar with this site but it appears LA spends more than any other state in the South per student.

Spending per student

Funnelling into non-profits that tell the state how to run the school system, especially the massive administrative charter school staffs that get millions in compensation to provide failing education to students.

A teacher is at school to teach. Nothing more. That's what we pay them to do. They shouldn't have to guess what a confused individual wants to be called each day. And they shouldn't get in trouble for calling them bybtheir birthday certificate name

What's kind of funny about the LA school systems is our private school percentage.

The best and brightest aren't counted when determining whether our youth are succeeding or failing.
