Actually if Landry and Trump get the bridge accomplished, it should be called the Trump-Landry Bridge for making a nearly 40 year project a reality. It is just a road sign, you can call it what you want. You can call it the Two A-Hole bridge if it ends up having a hefty toll.
At least it will be a better name than the New New Mississippi River Bridge as the I-10 bridge has been called the New Mississippi River Bridge even though it is nearly 60 years old and officially named the Horace Wilkinson Bridge.
It is funny more things are not named after Edwin Edwards. In 16 years as governor, he must have built something besides a record of lining his pockets with other people’s monetary contributions.
