Don't forget the role played by the consent decree.

She's an idiot. But what a great DEI hire for the city. First of all if youre drinking, the law basically states you cant carry a gun. I think the legal limit is .01 if carrying a gun. Second of all I'll go put on a limb and say that the shooter is a criminal and is probably not supposed to be in possession of a gun. And probably should have been in jail for a prior crime. It would be great if the governor made Bourbon street a priority and cleaned it up and made it safe at all times. Sad to say but there should be cops, state troopers or national guard on every corner of Bourbon like during mardi gras or superbowl.

I am very confused by her comment.
Does chief granny think that if we leave our guns at home, the thugs will not harm us?
Or does she think we are the thugs that are causing all of the violence.
Maybe she just needs her nap.

Very sad this young woman left Chicago of all places to get murdered by the usual suspects.

So for the people who aren't familiar with what happened, can someone provide a recap?

The next time you are going into a store like Target or Walmart and you are walking in the crosswalk by the front entrance, notice the cars that don't stop and almost run pedestrians over. 100% of the time it is a black person. They DGAF. It's almost sport for them. And we aren't even necessarily talking about gun toting thugs here either.

I drive through a school zone in front of a black high school in a very black area of New Orleans every day. guess which drivers religiously adhere to the school zone speed limit and which ones disregard it completely? i mean the speed limit drops literally to protect the lives of children - black children in this instance - and they blow through there with complete disregard

Why? Canal is the entrance to the FQ for many. Seems a good place to have presence. LSP, actually.

NOLA still on pace for a 50 year low in homicides. And 12 of those homicides alone were from the New Year’s terrorist. More than 50% lower than just two years ago.
Nobody wants to hear this, but it's true.

So we leave our guns at h8me and have no fighting chance against the usual suspects there eh? If I visit, I’ll be strapped. IF I visit.
