My brother did it for a year. Would have to meet once a week. There are alternates so if you're on vacation, sick etc you can miss a day. Said it was very interesting but mainly said it will scare the shite out of you about what goes on around the city and how horrible the crimes were. He had to see and hear things he really wishes he never had to. He was glad when it was over.

Grand jury is the best. You just vote to indict everyone they present, and then you go home early. It's much better than having to sit through a trial.

Not as much as Vente, or...wait a minute...I always get those 2 confused. Is the Vente larger than the Grande or the other way around?

Grand Jury takes the first 12 picked out of a jury pool of usually 50 or so, so your odds are pretty good to not get picked.

I had grand jury duty in st. tammany 2 years ago; was a great experience.
