Kanye doesn't "do" anything. He just is. That's not talent. That's image/name recognition. He's a vapid, blithering idiot.
Kanye produced hits for jay z and other for years before rapping.

Period.
"Producer" -
I hate Kanye more than most people. I loathe his existence and think the world would be better if that vapid, narcissistic, god-complex having, piece of shite was in a wood box 6 feet under.
That being said, he’s a very talented studio-man. He has insane respect from the top artists in the world for his ability to curate a hit from something raw and unfinished.

I dont get the donald glover appeal either. I hear community is his best work, and I admittingly have not seen it, but hes not funny and his raps are terrible. Atlanta was a terrible show with bad acting that only one awards because of the social issues it discusses.

I just saw that War On Drugs won best rock album, and well, that is probably my favorite album on the year, so I'd say I agree with the Grammy's....

No, if I was trying to say that, I would've just said that.
You just dated yourself, that's it. That's something my dad would say.

absolutely nothing. hey breesus, will i see you at the equality march today?
Absolutely. I'm actually just finishing up my hat.
At the last March, I wore a pussy hat, but it dawned on me that that isn't inclusive enough. So last week I bought a penis hat and I'm wearing it inside out.

Rihanna's performance was great, but DJ Khalid needed to STFU He sounded like an idiot yelling while she was crushing it.
Bruno and Pink are really good singers. Otherwise the acts were pretty meh. I know Kendrick is talented I just don't care for his style.

Have you seen him act?
I don't think I have, outside of cameo and guest appearances. What something big he's been in that highlights his tremendous range and acting talent?
quote:seen every episode multiple times.
Ever watch an episode of 30 Rock?

Generally curious what you see in him that makes you say, “That guy right there. He should have no appeal to anyone. Why does anyone like him?”
I don't see anything in him. That's the point. He seems to be a mildly talented writer. People swoon over the guy like he's some combination of once in a generation mind blowing acting and musical talent. I have yet to see anything that changes my mind. But I'm open to it.
What are his best albums I should listen to?

People still watch that garbage?
Young women and girls. That's the primary demographic for popular music.

I find Bruno Mars mega talented, a wide range of people love his music...his talent to give a performance is considerably higher than most artist.
Agreed. When I watch Bruno Mars, I get the feeling that I'm witnessing my generation's Prince & Michael Jackson rolled into one.
When I watch Kendrick Lamar, I get the feeling I'm witnessing this generation's rapper who will be forgotten in 10 years because nothing he does is remarkable, innovative, or even coherent.
When I watch Childish Gambino, I know I'm watching my generation's Bootsy Collins who also happens to be a fantastic actor, comedian, and screenwriter.

Yeah, not my taste in music but he's a hell of a showman. Very talented

i love when he sings that gorilla love song and beats his chest.

Interesting. Pretty similar humor to 30 Rock, which you admit to have watched multiple times.
I'm not going to argue that Donald Glover is a once in a generation talent, but to deny his broad appeal seems silly.
He does a bit of everything and all of it seemingly appeals to a lot of people. Whether its acting, rapping, singing, comedy, writing, etc.

As far as his abilities go. I'd be curious to find another artist that has acted (Community,30 Rock & Atlanta), Had his own standup special (Weirdo), has multiple popular albums and created his own tv series (Atlanta. He will also be doing the writing for the FX Deadpool animated series).
He has a wide range.
